Subscription payments
If you use the ShopWired Payments or Stripe payment gateways, you can process recurring payments from your customers through your online store.
Using the subscription app, you can allow your customers to add subscription products to their basket's, checkout in the normal way, and then on the renewal date the recurring payment will be automatically processed.
On successful payment, an order will be generated for you to manage through your ShopWired account in the normal way.
What can you achieve with the subscription system
The system allows you to bill customers on a recurring basis for the following periods; Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly (and also every 2, 3, 6 or 12 months) and every 30, 60 or 90 days.
Products have to be setup as subscription products (with the subscription cost entered as the product price) and the billing interval chosen.
If you want to offer the same product for sale both as a one-off purchase and a subscription (similar to the example shown below) you can do so, it just needs to be 'coded' on your website's theme to work this way. For more information please contact us.
How to use the subscription system
The subscription system on ShopWired is an app. This is supported on ShopWired themes (V4 and higher) by default.
For older theme versions, we provide full details on how to install the code yourself - or if you prefer, we can install the code for you for a fee.
