Can I give my trade customers credit accounts?
For each trade customer in your account, you can indicate that they have a credit account with you. This 'credit account' feature doesn't, in itself, have any function as you cannot set 'limits' within the system. However, you can use the offline payment method to allow trade customers with credit accounts to make purchases without immediately paying. Then you can separately keep track of the amount that any one trade customer has spent using this method.
By default the offline payment method is available to all of your customers to use, but by altering the settings for the offline payment method you can ensure that it is only available to trade customers who you have indicated have a credit account.
If you allow all of your customers to use the offline payment method, then you won't need to use the 'credit account' feature as it doesn't provide any other function.
To give a trade customer 'credit account' status, scroll to the 'Trade Discount' section when manually creating/editing a trade account. Then select 'Yes' under 'Credit Account':
