What is a SKU?
SKU refers to a Stock Keeping Unit and is a unique code that refers to an individual product or service that can be bought within a business.
SKU codes are not official or standardised and can be anything that you want.
SKUs are unique to an individual product so if you have t-shirts available in green, red, blue and small, medium and large you would have an individual SKU for each of the 9 possible combinations (green/small, green/medium, green/large, red/small and so on).
Warning!
Entering a SKU for a product will trigger the stock management system.
