Why is my customer’s address information being sent incorrectly to PayPal?
In some circumstances when one of your customers chooses to use PayPal to checkout with, their address information appears to have been sent incorrectly from ShopWired to PayPal. This occurs in the specific circumstance of a customer first entering their billing and shipping address details directly on your website, then selecting PayPal and choosing to checkout as a guest. Under these circumstances the shipping address which they entered on your website will appear as both their shipping and billing address.
This occurs due to a limitation with PayPal’s API and how they use the data which is sent to them, and therefore cannot be fixed by us.
This can be avoided by either switching to using Platform Checkout on your website or by encouraging your customers to login to their PayPal account first.
