Linking to a file through a ready-made icon
ShopWired offers ready-made icons which you can use to display links to your files instead of using text or your own image.
You can choose which icon you want to use based on the type of file that you have uploaded.

Obtaining the link for the URL as an icon
On your file manager page select the paper clip icon beside the URL for the file you want an icon for:
The icons will then appear for you to choose from:
The available icon types are:
DOC - For Word documents
XLS - For spreadsheets
PPT - For PowerPoint documents
PDF - For Adobe PDF files
TXT - For Simple Text documents
PSD - For Photoshop files
AI - For Adobe Illustrator files
MP3 - For Multimedia files
Click on the button for the icon you want to use, and a text string will automatically be copied to your computer’s clipboard. (Please note: There is no message telling you it’s been copied.)
Creating the link
Next, navigate to the page editor (CMS) for the page where you want to display the icon. It will look similar to this:
On the page editor click the HTML icon:
This will change the display of the editor so it now displays the HTML code:
Place your cursor where you want the icon to appear and paste the string from your computer’s clipboard. You can do this by pushing CTRL + V on a Windows computer or CMD + V on an Apple computer.
Click the HTML icon on the page editor again to see the icon display where you placed it:
Make sure to save your changes on the page you are editing.
