Getting help customising themes

If you need help customising your theme, our team will be happy to help you.

ShopWired's theme editor allows you to customise your theme yourself and has a live preview feature so you can see the changes as you make them. All of the customisations that website owners generally require, like the ability to upload their own images or change colours and text, can be done easily without any coding knowledge.

ShopWired also allows you to access all of the HTML/CSS/JS files that comprise your theme through your ShopWired account. This can be useful for advanced customisations like adding in new functionality or making major layout changes. If you want to make these types of changes yourself you will need to know at least some HTML/CSS/JS coding.

Alternatively you can request ShopWired's theme coding team to assist you with any changes (they just charge you for the work involved). For more information you can contact us.

Hiring a third party designer/developer/freelancer

We're also happy for you to hire any third party company to change the files on your theme to customise it to your exact requirements. For example through websites like Fiverr or Freelancer.com

Before allowing a third party access to your theme's files we recommend that you take a backup of your theme. To do so, select 'themes' from the left menu and then 'installed themes' and click the 'download as a zip' link (as indicated in the screenshot below). This will download the theme to your computer's hard drive.

You may also want to install the user accounts APP and only grant the third party access to the themes section of your account.
