An introduction to extensions
Our extensions allow you to extend the functionality of your website. All of our extensions are free of charge to use.
You can view the available extensions in ShopWired within your account by selecting 'apps & extensions' from the left menu and then 'available extensions'.
Each extension needs to be activated on your account and requires you to make some changes to your theme's files in order for it to start working on your website.
Making changes to your theme requires you to edit your theme's files, using the page editor.
Whilst full instructions and guidance are supplied on the help guide for each extension, you may have difficulty in installing the necessary code, particularly if you don't have any experience with HTML coding.
We are happy to install extensions for you, but we will make a charge for the necessary coding work and time involved. The installation cost is displayed on the extension page within your ShopWired account.

Extensions that require coding work
Activate this extension to allow products that are out of stock to be bought on your store. A great way to enable a 'back ordering' process on your website.
Custom fields allow you to set custom data for each product, category or brand, using fields you define, and use those custom fields on your own theme to display information and perform dynamic tasks.
Custom VAT features
Enable VAT features on your account to set custom VAT rates for products, allow VAT relief claims, and verify overseas VAT numbers to allow EU customers to purchase without paying VAT.
reCAPTCHA is Google's anti-spam system. Easy to use for your customers, and easy to install on your website, if you're experiencing high levels of spam submissions on your website install reCAPTCHA.
If you collect reviews for your service or products using Feefo you can use the Feefo extension to send details to Feefo of each order you receive and display the reviews on your website.
Multiple product videos
Use the videos extension to display more than one embedded video for your products, hosting an entire video library for your customers to view and to better showcase your products.
If you're using the product packages & bundles APP to sell multiple products in one then you can use this extension to find out how to display the details of the available packages on the product page.
Let your customers ask questions about your products on the product page and answer those questions through your account (answers can be displayed on the product page and sent to the customer by email).
If you're using a Version 3 theme and have purchased the upgrade version the following extensions do not require coding to work
If you're not using an upgrade Version 3 theme you will need to add code to your theme for these extensions to work.
Back in stock notifications
When a product (or product variation) is out of stock, customers can enter their name and email address and be automatically notified when the item is back in stock on your store.
Min/max order quantity
Set a minimum (or maximum) order quantity for each of your products. Visitors to your website will be unable to purchase the product unless they are ordering more than the minimum or less than the maximum.
If you'd like to charge your customers in the UK based on their postcode, you can install the postcode shipping extension and configure delivery rates that are applicable to certain postcodes.
Add a filter system to your website to allow your customers to filter your products according to filter groups you specify (like colour, material, size, brand, price).
Refer a friend
Allow your website visitors to recommend your products to their friends by email, with a quick and easy form for them to complete. Combine with the reward points app to use as part of a referral scheme.
