Customising products
Once you have imported a product from AliExpress to DropWired you can customise the product as much as you like before importing it to ShopWired.
When you import a product from AliExpress it will appear in the ‘Import List’ of your DropWired account. You can access this list by selecting the 'Imported Products' icon from the menu (the icon for this tab looks like an up and a down arrow):
Each product that you have imported will then be listed separately on the page.
Use the search box to search for a specific product contained within your import list:

Product details
The first tab allows you to edit the title and product description.
Product titles on AliExpress could be described as a little odd, they are often stuffed full of keywords and may not accurately describe the product at all.
We'd always advise changing the title of the product. In the above example a product title such as BeAvant lace lady's summer dress, we feel, would be much more appropriate.
Product descriptions on AliExpress are also a little odd. Actually, AliExpress has two product descriptions per product, but the first description we don't import (because it's often stuffed full of images, payment method information and other gaudy images. Instead we import the details from the specifications tab. The difficulty here is that this isn't a very user friendly description of the item so we'd recommend rewriting the product description.
Categorisation
The categorisation tab allows you to select how the product will display on your ShopWired store.
Categories, using this selection you can select which categories, from your ShopWired store, the product will appear in. You can create new categories on your ShopWired account and they'll automatically display in this list (you cannot create ShopWired categories from this page).
Brands, if you're using the ShopWired brands app you can also select a brand for the product. You can create a new brand from this page if you need to.
Filters, if you're using the ShopWired filters system all of your configured filter groups for you to add individual filters for. You'll need to separate individual filters with a comma.
Pricing & Info
Product price - if the product does not have variations this will be the price that the product is sold at on your ShopWired store. If the product does have variations, the price for each variation will be set individually on the variations tab (described below) - but the price set here will be the first price visitors to your website see for the product (before selecting a variation).
The product price displayed will be set in accordance with the pricing rules set on your DropWired account.
Compare Price/RRP - this will be left blank when the product imports (and you can leave it blank if you wish to). If you set a value here it will be shown as the RRP of the product on your ShopWired store.
Delivery Pricing - you can tick the box to have free delivery or set a specific delivery price for the item. The delivery price the product imports with will be based on the delivery method and country you select on the DropWired Chrome extension when importing the product. You can leave the specific delivery price blank and delivery charges will be based on the normal shipping charges set on your ShopWired account.
Special Offers - if you have installed the multi-buy offers app in your ShopWired account you'll be able to mark the product as being eligible for a two for one or three for two offer.
Search Keywords - you can set keywords in this box to ensure the product appears on your ShopWired store's search when visitors to your website enter those keywords.
Product URL/slug - this determines the URL that the product will appear at on your ShopWired website.
Variations
Each variation combination is listed here, in a similar format to how variations are configured within ShopWired.
You can use the tick box next to each variation combination to select whether or not to offer that particular variation for sale.
Sometimes you'll find that variation option names are not as descriptive as they should be so you may want to edit those.
The cost of the variation is displayed (as it costs to purchase on the AliExpress website) along with the imported price (which is set according to the pricing rules on your DropWired account). You can adjust this price.
The profit column gives you an indication of how much gross profit you will make on the item if sold at the price selected.
The SKU Code and Quantity columns are directly imported from AliExpress. You can adjust these figures if you want to however please note:
i) If you change the SKU Code stock updates will not work
ii) If you adjust stock quantities, stock updates will continue to work as long as the SKU code is not changed
Images
Each image that imported with the product is listed here.
You can deselect images if you don't want them to appear on the product, to do so simply click the image.
You cannot deselect images that are currently assigned to variation combinations.
