Installing a live chat feature on your website

Installing a live chat feature on your website allows you to talk to the visitors on your website in real time if they need to contact you.

Live chat software is not provided by ShopWired. Instead you will need to use a third-party software.


Installing the software

Any live chat provider that you choose will supply you with some code that needs to be placed on each page of your website in order for the software to work. Within the ShopWired system, instead of having to manually place the code on each individual page, you can enter the code in your visitor tracking section, and the platform will automatically place it on all of your website pages.

To do this select Settings > Visitor Monitoring > Visitor Tracking from the menu. In the ‘Live Chat Script’ box paste the code:

Then select save changes.

Please note!

Once you have installed the code you should check that it is working by checking your website. In order for the live chat pop-up to display on your website you might need to be logged into your live chat account.
