Reserve Account
If your business is deemed by ShopWired Payments to be of higher than normal risk, for example if you have an unusually high chargeback incident rate or very high individual average transaction amount, ShopWired Payments may deem it necessary to hold some of your transacted funds in reserve for a period of time - i.e. not make them available to you for payout.
Where this is necessary, funds will be held in a separate account known as a Reserve Account and ShopWired Payments is contractually obliged to handle these funds in accordance with our terms and conditions.
Where ShopWired Payments holds funds in a Reserve Account you will be notified in writing and this will be discussed with you.
A separate note will be shown on your ShopWired Payments balance page to indicate the amount in your Reserve Account.
Reserved funds are usually held in the reserve account for a set period of time, usually between 30 and 120 days.
When reserved funds are released back to your available balance, they will be scheduled for payout in the normal way.
