Creating delivery rate exceptions

Using the Delivery Rate Exceptions app you can specify if you don't want a delivery rate to be available as an option for a customer to choose from if particular product(s) are present in a customer's basket.

Once the app has been installed, when adding or editing a delivery rate a new tick box will appear for you to select, as shown in the screenshot below.

Ticking this box will reveal a new section beneath which will allow you to select products.

You can click the 'add another product' link in order to select multiple products from the drop down.

How it works for the customer

At checkout, if a customer has one of the specified products in their basket, then the delivery rate that the product is assigned to will not show up as an option for them to choose from.

They won't specifically know that the delivery rate has been excluded, it just won't appear in the list.
