Mailerlite

The Mailerlite app allows you to connect your ShopWired account to your Mailerlite account. If you don’t already have a Mailerlite account you can create one here.

Once you have installed and configured the Mailerlite integration the details of any new customers who create an account with you, place an order with you or sign up to receive your newsletters will automatically be sent to your Mailerlite account in accordance with your settings.

Please note!

Details of customers who create an account or place an order with you will only be sent to Mailerlite if they agree to accept marketing from you.

To use the Mailerlite integration you must first install the app. To do this select APPs & Extensions > Available APPs from the menu. Find and select the Mailerlite app and select INSTALL THIS APP.

Once the app is installed you will need to configure your Mailerlite account details on the app’s page by selecting APPs & Extensions > Mailerlite from the menu.

• Entering your Mailerlite API key
• Group mapping
• Importing existing subscribers into your Mailerlite groups

Entering your Mailerlite API key

To get started you will need to enter your API key, provided to you in your Mailerlite account, in the ‘Settings’ section of the app configuration page:

To find your API key within your Mailerlite account select your profile from the top right corner of the top menu:

From the menu that opens select Integrations:

Then select Use beside ‘Developer API’:

Here you can find your account’s API key in the ‘API key’ section:

Copy the key and paste it into the appropriate field in the Mailerlite app on your ShopWired account.

Once you have pasted the key into the box select Save Changes.

Group mapping

After your API key has been successfully added, you will be able to choose (or ‘map’) which of your Mailerlite groups your customers' details should be imported to when specific events happen within the ShopWired platform.

A different group can be selected for each of these events:

Customer created when order placed - when a customer successfully makes a purchase on your website

Customer registers an account - when a customer creates a normal account on your website

When a trade customer registers for an account - when a customer creates a trade account on your website

When a visitor signs up for the newsletter - when a customer enters their email address into the newsletter signup form on your website

For each event choose one of your Mailerlite groups from the drop-down menu:

Once you have mapped your groups select Save Changes.

Importing existing subscribers into your Mailerlite groups

Once you have installed and configured your settings for the Mailerlite app in your account any new subscribers will automatically be sent to the group which you have set. Existing subscribers, that registered with you prior to when you installed the app, will not automatically be sent to Mailerlite. However, you can easily import your existing subscribers into a Mailerlite group by first taking an export of your existing subscribers.

To take an export of your existing subscribers select Marketing > Newsletter Subscribers from the menu. In the top right corner select Download All:

A CSV file of your existing subscribers will then be downloaded to your computer’s hard drive.

To import the file return to your Mailerlite account and select Subscribers from the top menu. Then select Add subscribers in the top right corner:

In the 'Import from a CSV or TXT file' tab, attach the file from your computer’s hard drive and select Import:

On the next page select which of your groups you would like to add the subscribers to. You can select more than one:

Ensure the columns from the spreadsheet have been matched to their appropriate fields and then select Finish adding subscribers.

The subscribers contained within your CSV file should then be successfully imported into the group(s).
