Klaviyo

The Klaviyo app allows you to connect your ShopWired account to your Klaviyo account. If you don’t already have a Klaviyo account you can create one here.

Once you have installed and configured the Klaviyo integration the details of any new customers who create an account with you, place an order with you or sign up to receive your newsletters will automatically be sent to your Klaviyo account in accordance with your settings.

Please note!

Details of customers who create an account or place an order with you will only be sent to Klaviyo if they agree to accept marketing from you.

To use the Klaviyo integration you must first install the app. To do this select APPs > Available APPs from the menu. Find and select the Klaviyo app and select INSTALL THIS APP.

Once the app is installed you will need to configure your Klaviyo account details on the app’s page by selecting APPs > Klaviyo from the menu.

• Entering your Klaviyo API key
• List mapping
• Importing existing subscribers into your Klaviyo lists

Entering your Klaviyo API key

To get started you will need to enter your API keys, provided to you in your Klaviyo account, in the ‘Settings’ section of the app configuration page:

To find the API keys in your Klaviyo account select your profile in the top right corner of the dashboard:

From the menu that opens select Account:

On the page that then loads select Settings > API Keys:

Your public API key will be visible to you in the Public API section:

Copy and paste this key into the appropriate field in your ShopWired account.

To obtain your private API key select Create Private API Key to generate one:

Select the 'eye' icon beside your newly generated API key to make it visible for you to copy:

Copy and paste the key into the appropriate field in your ShopWired account.

Once you have pasted both keys into the app’s configuration page on your ShopWired account select Save Changes.

List mapping

After your API keys have been successfully added, you will be able to choose (or ‘map’) which of your Klaviyo lists your customers' details should be imported to when specific events happen within the ShopWired platform.

A different list can be selected for each of these events:

Customer created when order placed - when a customer successfully makes a purchase on your website

Customer registers an account - when a customer creates a normal account on your website

When a trade customer registers for an account - when a customer creates a trade account on your website

When a visitor signs up for the newsletter - when a customer enters their email address into the newsletter signup form on your website

For each event choose one of your Klaviyo lists from the drop-down menu:

Once you have mapped your lists select Save Changes.

Importing existing subscribers into your Klaviyo lists

Once you have installed and configured your settings for the Klaviyo app in your account any new subscribers will automatically be sent to the list which you have set. Existing subscribers, that registered with you prior to when you installed the app, will not automatically be sent to Klaviyo. However, you can easily import your existing subscribers into a Klaviyo list by first taking an export of your existing subscribers.

To take an export of your existing subscribers select Marketing > Newsletter Subscribers from the menu. In the top right corner select Download All:

A CSV file of your existing subscribers will then be downloaded to your computer’s hard drive.

To import the file navigate to the 'Lists & Segments page' within your Klaviyo account, and select the list you would like to import the file to.

Open the 'Manage List' menu in the right corner of the page, and then select Import Contacts from the options:

Using the 'Upload File' option attach the CSV file from your computer’s hard drive and allow the system to import the file. Review the import data to ensure the information will import as you want it to, and then select Import Review followed by Start Import. The subscribers contained within your CSV file should then be successfully imported into the list.
